Getting out into the wild
of nature to hike in the woods, breathe the fresh air, and see the sights is
a wonderful way to spend your time. I always take my digital camera with me
whenever I go to any of the wonderful locations in my area. California is full
of great places to visit and take images. I managed to take some pretty nice
pictures over the years in those travels to places like Yosemite, Tahoe, Big
Sur, Yellowstone, and the Mendocino coast. However last year I decided it was
time to really get some better knowledge so that I could take better nature
photography on all my trips.
I poked my head out the
window so to speak and found some wonderful places to get great information
and advice on how to take the best nature photographs. We would like to share
those resources with you our visitors.
Here are some wonderful
online magazines that deal with nature photography:

is a how to magazine, published quarterly in print form, intended for nature photographers and nature enthusiasts who range from beginners to professionals. We will help you channel your intense interest in nature photography into more successful trips into the natural world, whether they be for the day, weekend, holidays or vacations. This is the magazine for those of you interested in photographing the wilderness in far off destinations, in local parks or in your own backyard.
Nature Photographers On Line Magazine
is an online resource dedicated to the art and technique of nature, wildlife and landscape photography. We invite you to pull up a chair and spend some time with us!
I found these great clubs/organizations where you can get super help and information
to help you take great pictures.

Don't want to take the pictures yourself but would like to decorate your house
with some great nature photography images? Have you ever heard of Galen Rowell,
who was one of the worlds renowned mountain climbers for years but while climbing
took some awesome photographs of the world's highest peaks. He became a premier
nature photographer after his climbing days. You can visit Galen's gallery and
purchase prints of his amazing images.
I was actually fortunate
enough to meet Ansel Adams before his death. The man had been a giant in my
world of photography. I had visited his exhibitions, bought some books of his
images, and decorated my apartments with his prints. I mean I would have crawled
to the alter of his darkroom if I could have. As it turned out in the last year
of his life he came to my office for an interview and I was able to share a
few minutes with him. Of course there was no time to go over techniques of nature
photography. But his demeanor and dignity have stayed with me all these years
later. His images still are magical to me. Would you visit his gallery if you
could?
